| For the average American, who is a worker and not a business owner, the future looks very bleak. After a century of living well above the means of the average human on Earth, the difference in labor rates is enormous. Now with today's global economy, the American worker cannot possibly compete with people in third world countries who are used to a much lower standard of living. They can learn whatever you can and do what you can for much cheaper than you are willing to work for. All the talk about moving into new career fields is nothing but sunshine being blown up our asses. People in third world countries can do anything that you can for a lower cost. If there was any career field left over that you could still make decent money in, wouldn't people in those countries undercut you in that field as well? It's not like there's a shortage of poor people in this world, in fact most people are poor. You are greatly outnumbered. So your job will be taken, no matter what field you decide to get into. You can't blame the workers in those other countries, they're just trying to make a living. The problem is stemming from decisions made in our own country. You might wonder how we allowed this to happen. It's pretty simple actually- the people making the decisions in this country are not average Americans, they are filthy rich Americans. Although most Americans are losing money due to these decisions, you can bet that the ones making the decisions are gaining a lot of money. These people don't care where they live, because they're rich here and they'll be rich anywhere. And before you start thinking that you'd be better off if Bush/Kerry/Gore/ were elected, I'm going to remind you that all of them are rich and both had political power previous to running for the presidency. And with a presidential campaign costing over $1 Billion, you can be sure that Joe Worker isn't going to win any election by himself. So he'll need help, and who's going to pay for it? The same rich people and companies who are making you poor. So you can see why companies donate so much to both parties. They make money, buy influence, and make more money with that influence. That's why it's so much easier to make loads of money when you start off with loads of money. It's all bout da connections, yo!
